Warranty on your SPARTA e-bike 

SPARTA electric bicycles are thoroughly tested and meet strict quality standards. That's why we offer a full 10-year warranty on steel or aluminum frames, a 10-year warranty on the front fork (2 years on suspension forks), and a 2-year warranty on other parts not covered by normal wear and tear. You also get a 2-year warranty on the electric drive system and battery packs.

Warranty conditions for your electric bicycle

In addition to your statutory rights, SPARTA offers an additional warranty against any material or construction defects in your bicycle. To be eligible for this warranty, you must register your e-bike within four weeks of purchase at www.spartabikes.com/nl-nl/support/e-bike-registreren and present a clearly completed and signed warranty certificate or your purchase receipt. The warranty applies only to the first owner and is therefore non-transferable.

Warranty on your e-bike with EzyRider warranty plan

All mechanical and electrical components of your e-bike are covered by the EzyRider warranty plan (excluding wear parts)*. If a part of your e-bike breaks due to a material or construction defect, it will be repaired free of charge. You won't have to pay for the parts used or the labor. 

The EzyRider Warranty Plan is only available in the Netherlands. We offer a different warranty plan in Belgium; please ask your dealer about this. 

Warranty on the battery of an electric bicycle 

The battery is one of the most important components of your e-bike. Therefore, any battery failure is naturally covered by the EzyRider Warranty Plan. 

Maintaining your electric bicycle 

Every e-bike requires maintenance. To maintain the EzyRider Warranty Plan, it's important to keep your e-bike well-maintained. We therefore ask that you take your e-bike to the bicycle dealer where you purchased it for regular maintenance every year or every 4,000 kilometers (whichever comes first).

No warranty claim

  • The bicycle has not been registered at www.spartabikes.com/nl-nl/support/e-bike-registreren within 4 weeks of purchase .
  • The bicycle has been used improperly or carelessly or has been damaged in a traffic accident or fall. 
  • The damage is due to normal wear and tear of parts such as tires, chain, cables and brake pads. 
  • The bicycle has not been properly maintained, i.e. not maintained as indicated in the supplied instruction booklet. 
  • Repairs are carried out unprofessionally or not by a SPARTA dealer. 
  • If non-original parts have been used for repairs or if they have been incorrectly fitted. 
  • The construction has been changed. 
  • The bicycle for rental has been used. 
  • Rust formation has occurred on painted, chromed and aluminium parts of the bicycle because the bicycle has not been regularly maintained or cleaned. 

Only defective parts sent to SPARTA for assessment via the SPARTA dealer are covered by the warranty. SPARTA's liability never extends beyond what is described in these warranty terms. Any liability of SPARTA for consequential damages is expressly excluded. The provisions of this provision do not apply if and to the extent that they arise from a mandatory legal provision. 

Labor costs for disassembly and assembly of the bicycle are not covered by the warranty and are the owner's responsibility. SPARTA bicycles comply with European type approval.
